Imam Usama Baqai is a dynamic and spiritual leader who embarked on his journey of Islamic knowledge in Ajax, Canada, where he successfully memorized the Quran during high school. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Accounting at Temple University, Imam Usama went on to pursue further Islamic Studies abroad to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah in Saudi Arabia at the prestigious Islamic University of Madinah, completing the Arabic program and earning a degree in Shariah. Additionally, he also undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Chaplaincy under the scholars at Masjid Nabawi. Continuing his academic journey, Imam Usama achieved a Master's degree in Islamic Finance from INCEIF University in Malaysia.

Originally hailing from Collegeville, PA, Imam Baqai is not only recognized for his academic endeavors but also celebrated for his unwavering dedication to community work. His interests extends beyond the confines of the Masjid, as he actively engages in pick-up sports and enjoys camping. With a warm and approachable demeanor, Imam Usama Baqai brings a unique blend of wisdom and lively spirit to the Muslim community.

Through the bounty of Allāh, Ust. Isa embraced Islām in 2013. Since then he has had the honor to study with over a dozen Shuyūkh, ranging from such esteemed places of knowledge such as the University of Madinah, Azhar University, Morocco, Pakistan, India, and Palestine.

He now teaches and leads youth programs on the east coast as well as for AHI at various masaajid and schools in the US. Prior to Islam, Ust. Isa’s secular studies include: Psychology, Philosophy, Communications, English, Arts, Project Management Professionalism, and certifications in Mental Health. Ust. Isa has been blessed to study and complete some ijaazaat in the Holy Qur’an, Arabic, Qira’aat, Tafsir, Taareekh, ‘Aqeedah, and Tajweed.

I was born in Zambia and moved to the UK at the age of 14. I have lived in London ever since where I completed my education at Newham College of Technology, East Ham, London earning a BTEC National Certificate in Electrical Engineering. After which I pursued my Hifdh Education from Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya, Holcombe, England. Previous to joining IQRA, I taught Hifdh at Madressah Al Hidaya, in Iiford London. A program I developed and headed for the past 6 years. I hope to use my 15+ years of Hifdh experience and apply my expertise in the Academy Hifdh Programs to help develop a love and respect for the Qur’an and its study. in sha Allah. I am happily married with four amazing children Alhumdulilah and am excited to join Khair Community Center.

Administrative Assistant

Mariam Amir, has been a part of the community for quite a few years and is involved voluntarily with many local organizations including Khair, ICNA sisters, MCNA and ISGVF. She recently became a part of Khair as an admin assistant, with a passion for ensuring smooth and efficient office operations.

With a few years of experience working in the sales and support department with some reputable companies she has had an opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer focused environment that has helped her immensely to thrive in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment.

Originally from Pakistan, she has studied Textile Engineering from a reputable university and has done several diploma courses to polish her skills. Currently, she is enrolled in ICNA sister’s Fehm ul Quran course and is also a part of a dawah course.

A mother of 3, a self-taught artist who loves to craft and paint in her spare time and spend time with her family. She believes one should invest one's energies in doing all the good work around to bring positive changes even if it is on a small scale.
